Sorry for doing this in English, feel free to answer in Swedish. I am a new member here and also a beginner in funds saving.
As a background:
I have about 2 months salary in my bank that I keep as buffer and I plan to keep it there.
Around November 2024 I started to think about investing and started with buying some stocks.
This month I discovered funds and thought that it’s a smarter way to invest because I just find monitoring the stocks so complicated.
I wanted to save extra for my pension so I looked around for funds that would fit. I came to Sweden as an adult and there is just no way I will achieve a comfortable pension by just relying on the one from work and state.
This week I put in my first 500 sek into: Robur Transfer 80
I thought it was a good choice because it’s targeted for someone like me who will be 42 this year and they will lower the risk the closer I get to retirement. I have it in an ISK with Avanza.
But as I continue to do research, I noticed that I don’t read about many people talking about generationsfond. I read many recommending global, index, Swedish funds, etc, but not generationsfond. Am I missing something? Did I make a mistake?
Then at some point I was thinking to also get Robur Access Europa. But now that I have read more, I will probably choose one for Sverige instead. Another question is what is the best strategy for diversifying if I don’t have a lump sum to put in? I was only planning to put in 500-1000 sek/month for Transfer 80. My husband has just lost his job so money is tight at the moment. Eventually I will raise it. Should I wait until my contribution there is a certain amount before I buy the second fund? Or should I just do 500 - 500 each already?
I had also been saving for something specific, which I had just been storing in my bank. Right now it’s at 8000 kr, and I put in just 200 kr a month. The target is not until 4-5 years from now. So I thought maybe I should also put it in a fund. I am considering Enter Cross Credit for that, my savings horizon for this is not as long as the other two. Would it be worth it, or should I just let it stay in the bank?
Your thoughts and opinions will be highly appreciated. Thank you.
I don’t need the exact amount as such. However much I have saved up after 4-5 years will be enough for what I need. Anything extra gained through interest will be a bonus so I would like to be able to maximize. But right now it’s sitting in the e-sparkonto of Swedbank which I realize now has the worst interest rate. It’s just because I have had Swedbank from the moment I arrived in Sweden and I thought it was safe and stable, etc. For the most part I had been happy with Swedbank before I had learned to think about interests and such. Looking around now I see that others have higher interest rates. I’m leaning now towards Resurs and their Sparkonto Max, also because I will be able to send directly to the account instead of using OCR.
